About the Program
What Is the Canadian
Dental Care Plan?
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal government program that provides dental coverage to eligible Canadians who do not have access to private dental insurance. It is administered by Sun Life Financial on behalf of Health Canada.
The plan covers a wide range of dental services — from routine cleanings and fillings to root canals, dentures, and extractions — based on your income level and the specific procedures needed.
As a participating provider, Granville Dental Wellness submits your CDCP claims directly to Sun Life. You receive the care you need without worrying about upfront costs or complex paperwork.
